Yoga wars

Having never tried yoga, reading this article about the so called "wars" within yoga was very interesting. I feel that within any profession, you'll get different variations of yoga and different people with different views. I think that you have to look at and research all aspects of yoga and decide for yourself which type and class to join. One key piece of advise is to know your body limits. People can get carried away with yoga and over stretch and injure themselves. I would agree as well that for a beginner a smaller class or even 1-2-1 teaching would be better.
